Choosing a Bank

Ask these questions to help you decide which bank or credit union to use:

• How much is the minimum initial deposit?
• Is there a fee if your balance drops below a certain amount each month (a minimum balance)?
• Are there fees for checking services and overdraft protection?
• There could be fees for using an ATM, especially if the ATM is not owned by “your” bank.
• Are there online and mobile tools for paying bills and depositing checks?
