Enrolling in College
Pre-Enrollment & Enrollment
Colleges have a number of activities and services available during this time to help you get prepared for your first day of classes, and to have a successful semester. It may seem like a lot of things happening all at once, so try to keep a list of everything you need to do and when you need to do it. Don’t wait until a deadline. Submit early if you can. Talk to an academic advisor or a student ambassador (a current student on campus who works with incoming students) for additional information.
Things to focus on
In addition to getting any remaining items squared away with your transcripts and financial aid, it’s important to take care of housing and parking (if you will have a car). Living and parking arrangements can be limited, especially if you want to be close to your classes.
Attend student orientation
It’s also important to attend new student orientation, especially if you were not able to make a campus visit before applying. In many cases, you’ll have the ability to sign up for additional services as well as register early for your semester classes.
