Quick Application Checklist
Requirements vary, but below is a quick check list of tasks and information you may need for your application. Make sure you’ve already completed the FAFSA and any state-level financial aid forms.
Be sure to include enough preparation time for each:
- Personal information, including your Social Security number and a copy of your Social Security card
- Application fees (fee waivers may be available)
- Academic resume, including awards and honors
- Extracurricular activities resume
- Letters of recommendation from your teachers or others
- SAT/ACT test scores (you need to tell College Board where to send them)
- Official high school transcript, with your class rank
- Official college transcripts (if you are a transfer student)
- Essays (proofed by a trusted advisor)
- Medical and vaccination records
- Residency information (typically required for in-state tuition with public schools, or English proficiency testing for non-US residents)
